Disabled access

Parking

Designated parking is available in the first row of the main car park 50 metres from the Gardens entrance.

Buying Tickets / Entering the Gardens

Those who are able to show documentary identification of disability (i.e. blue / orange badge or similar) will be able to take a carer in free of charge.

Wheelchairs

Wheelchairs and scooters are not available for hire.

Toilets

Are located for visitors with disabilities to the rear of the coffee shop at the entrance.

Carers

One companion is admitted free of charge per wheelchair user or visually impaired visitor.

Assistance Dogs

Welcomed in all areas. Access to building, coffee shop, gift shop and plant centre – all accessible to manual and electric wheelchairs.

Access to the Gardens

The paths at the Gardens are gravel and some areas are very steep due to the natural topography. There is a recommended route with more even paths which showcases some of the key areas of the Gardens.  These paths are accessible by wheelchair but due to the gravel surface may not be suitable for all types of mobility scooter.
